I Feel So Bored

Every day you get home from a job and/or school and you think “Man, life would be so much better if I could relax all day.” Well, at least I do.

Either way, I was wrong.

I woke up at 6am, and I don’t quite feel like playing any games because I haven’t really “earned” the right to do anything. I’m just kind of sitting here browsing around various sites, thinking about the new site upgrades that may soon take place… uh… You know, sitting here thinking about mousepads and such. Anyway I’ve just been sitting here all morning trying to mentally plan out my day, and it’s just not happening, there’s absolutely nothing practical to be done. I feel so … … … well, not relaxed. I can’t relax until I’ve had something to relax from. Relaxing from not sleeping at night just doesn’t have the same “punch” as, say, relaxing from a math final.

That said, this is probably a good feeling for the ever-increasing number of fans of the site, since I need something to occupy myself with, so I’ll very likely institute a number of new things on the site over the course of the next few days (classes do not start up again until Wednesday); what these changes are I don’t knowcan’t tell you, but they should be fairly obvious if they occur.

Back to the morning’s tasks (or, rather, the lack thereof).

So relaxation must be enjoyed in contrast to work, in order to be fully appreciated. Sounds good to me, but it’s so hard to use that as justification to do work. “Hey, if I work now, I can relax later” just doesnt have the same appeal as “how about I just do nothing today”
