Comments and Such

I’ve received a lot of comments both on-site and off about the Battlefield 2 article (against my better judgment, I actually joined in on a thread over in the Ctrl+Alt+Delete forums), and the response to it has been largely positive. Whether this is because the article is actually good or because it gave more fodder to the “EAISSATAN!” groupies is unknown.

The point of this is that I’ve been tooling around with some ideas in my head (heh, “tooling”) about what to do with my free time (You know, the time that isn’t spent playing BF2) as far as the site is concerned. At the moment I’m thinking that I may remove my personal blog from the front page (It’ll go to either polycat.net/blog or polycat.net/trent) and just turn the front page into a twice-a-week column with articles involving games and the game development industry, which encompasses just the gaming front of the industry.

Thoughts? Kthxbaiomgwtfbbqthisphraseiswayoverused.

  • Heh, thanks.

And yeah, my goal right now is to have a kind of "weekly column" about something in the game development field. I already have my topic down, I just need to get the time/desire to write it.
  • El Guapo
Heh. I'm the guy that posted the article on the CAD forums.

Hope it didn't generate any bad karma on my part. I often forget the mental midgets that roam that forum, and perhaps should have invested more thought before posting it.

All that aside, keep writing articles. Well thought out, cogent pieces on a diverse topic matter. I dig it.
  • Word.
  • Your mother is a monkey!

Sounds like a fun idea, I say you give it a try before moving your blog.
  • Ah, I see. I assumed the game column would be review-esque. Ooh, in that case I love the idea since I get to see you bitch more <3.
  • I never said I was going to write reviews; I'm still very much leaning against writing reviews.

Writing a column is fun though, because there are simply so many things to bitchwrite about.
  • Didn't you quit FileFront because you hated doing review type stuffs? I mean, it's one thing to write a review after playing a game, but do you really want to keep up a twice a week deadline?
