I can’t sleep. Like, even if I wanted to go to sleep at midnight, or 1am, or 2am, or so on, I could not do it. Trust me, I tried. I got to sleep at 3:30am, and subconsciously I was all “OMGTOTALLYGOTTOSLEEPYAY!”
Then I woke up at 4:30, after having a relatively odd dream, and was all like “I’m totally awake.” Then I was sad.
And so I went and created one of those Live Journal things. I’m actually fairly surprised at how much customization they allow for the free accounts, but not overwhelmed. Especially since the single post, user info, and friends pages are all completely uncustomizable… And very, very bright for someone awake at 6:30 in the morning. If you are an “avid reader” of Polycat.net (does such a person exist?), there’s no use in even going there, since I only transferred a few of my favorite entries over to test the whole thing out.
I mainly decided to try the whole LJ blog thing (I almost sounded hip) for two reasons: 1) I want young, impressionable, emo teenagers to read all my posts and be convinced that I’m the new thing on the block. 2) If the weekly story thing works out, I’m going to move that to the front page (potentially), and then either move this blog to the backburner, or just use something like LiveJournal to keep the blog going (I’m bound to get lazy eventually).
Now, it’s 6:30am, and I should probably get a couple hours of sleep. And “thing” was italicized way too many times in this post.
thing, thing, thing, thing.
… This is why I don’t allow myself near a keyboard on little sleep.
